Exciting surf experiences for boy's and girl's ages 6 to 17. Your child will be met each morning by their own Ohana Surf Camp instructor. In addition to our professional staff, two Galveston Beach Patrol lifeguards are on duty at the 27th and 29th street jetties from 9:00 am until the end of camp. Each week your child will receive instruction in ocean safety and surf etiquette. The morning's will begin with light stretching and warm-up's, the proper approach to learn to surf. In addition on the beach, through a partnership with Galvestons' Moody Garden's your child will learn about marine sciences, and how to preserve our ocean's and its' habitants. Your child will also learn about how waves are generated and how tides occur, marine biology, coastal ecology, and beach profiles. Thursday afternoon are reserved for our parents, so you are welcome to join us and learn from the instructors on how to teach your child. Lastly, LanceGandy and Bill Hill of Lance Gandy Photography will be on hand to take scheduled camp, group and action photos as requested. The cost of the camp is $139.00 per child for a three day Tuesday thru Thursday session or $99 for a Saturday & Sunday session. Times are from 9:00 am till 12:00 noon.
