Four high end but affordable Bungalows, each designed with its own theme using recycled hardwoods, bamboo, sea grass, bamboo, rattan and all natural and recycled materials, offer our guests gorgeous, cozy lodging.We are located right at Suck Rock, a famous surf break in Costa Rica and we are within steps of stunning white sand beaches hosting some of the best surf and breath taking sunsets in Costa Rica .

Our manager of the hotel and the surf school, Pia has years of experience in hotel management and has dedicated herself to make sure all of your needs are met. A local, originally from Argentina, she speaks perfect English and emits the most beautiful energy and Pura Vida vibe. Pia is more than happy to help accommodate arranging all your holiday wishes while you are our guests, from private surf lessons, to restaurant recommendations and reservations, booking tours taxis, and more....she makes sure your vacation is about you, your comfort and enjoyment. Her lovely staff ensures the same!

All Bungalows can accommodate up to 4 people. Every bungalow is built high off the ground, allowing for amazing sea breezes and the sounds of the ocean to lull you to sleep at night. Bungalows come equipped with A/C , ceiling fan, hot water , pillow top mattress' and a digital room safe. We provide daily house keeping and organic soap. In keeping with the calming blue theme, mosaic showers have room for two and the rain can shower head will soothe your muscles with hot water after a day of surf, yoga or hiking! Large comfortable chairs on the balcony will provide you with tree top views to see the monkeys, butterflies , fireflys and birds.

Mal Pais is situated on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica on the southern tip of the Nicoya peninsula.

Santa Teresa extends for approximately 6 km. Not too long ago, Santa Teresa was a small fishing village but has seen quite a bit of growth in the last few years and is quickly becoming the new trendy hot spot , with the occasional celebrity, rock star or super model being spotted chillin' like everyone else!I

With gorgeous white sand beaches, warm water and waves suited for all levels from the novice to pro , it's no wonder that the word has finally gotten out about this magical place!

Many of the international visitors fell in love with the area and stayed on becoming local business owners, with surf shops, cabinas and restaurants offering cuisine from every part of the world.
