El Salvador: Dreams and Nightmares
It was June and I was, again, sitting at the Basilone exit in San Clemente, watching my beloved Lowers perform with northwest wind swell 2-3 feet. It was a sad sight really. As most Southern Californians know, this time of year could be horrific in terms of weather and surf. The “gloom” (as most know it) had been cast over the coast.
