With the aim of passing on beneficial life habits and a positive attitude, MO provides surf instruction for individuals and groups, designs tours locally and internationally, caters to your personal needs with all-inclusive adventures, or, if you prefer, teaches you how to camp and cook for yourself. We focus not only on surfing, but healthy lifestyles. For this we provide yoga classes, meditation sessions, reflexology treatments, massage therapy, diet and nutrition seminars, and life balance coaching. Surfing is a budding industry on Vancouver Island. It has a limitless resource and enthusiasm is building around outdoor adventure and ecotourism on the island. It is MO's objective to supplement and bolster BC's other surfing businesses and create a cooperative culture promoting one of our true life passions.
Christian Moutinho and Ed Garlinge are the owners/operators of Mother Ocean Surf School, and together they have over 30 years experience surfing, teaching... and living. Ed is a CPR- and First Aid-certified teacher in Victoria and has been teaching surfing to students since 1997. Christian is a professional surf coach who has been in the business of surfing for 17 years.
