South Surf 55

GENERAL SITUATION
I have seldom see such a large divergence between the European and the US long range forecasts. The Europeans see high pressure slowly returning to cover the British isles later in the weekend. The US charts suggest that a stream of rather weak lows will come in. Either way waves will be smallish but the European forecasts now suggest that it will be very small.

SOUTH WEST AND WALES (and south western Ireland
There's a fair chance that the waves and westerly winds will return later this week but it looks like the waves will still be quite small and messy

EAST COAST (Thurso area, use this and Far NW )
Small northerly windwaves should continue for a lot of this week but probably not much longer

FAR NORTH WEST OF SCOTLAND AND IRELAND
Very little westerly surf the main wave direction looks likely to be northerly for most of the week.

CHANNEL COAST (east of Start Point)
Very small to flat
