Sun's Out, Surf's Up!ummer is just a short splash away! The "Sun's Out, Surf's Up!" educational program provides national standards-based lesson plans and reproducibles that build reading comprehension, writing, and science skills-while providing important fun-in-the-sun tips for sun and water safety.

Developed by Scholastic Inc. and generously sponsored by Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures, the "Sun's Out,Surf's Up!" educational program features characters from the upcoming Sony Pictures Animation feature film Surf's Up, in theaters June 8, 2007.

OBJECTIVE
Students will learn:

* To use various strategies for reading comprehension and persuasive writing
