Teddy Navarro Wins Sun Diego Surf Series and Takes Home $10,000

Teddy Navarro wins the Sun Diego Surf series and pockets home $10,000.

Huntington Beach local and Reef ripper Teddy Navarro takes out the prestigious Sun Diego Monster Energy Series held in San Diego. The last contest was a AA rated event held at the harbor in Oceanside. Teddy who for the last 3 seasons has been runner up in the series to fellow Reefer Sean Marceron. Marceron from Encinitas has owned the SD titled for the last 3 seasons.

The tour consists of 8 events along the San Diego coast line from Imperial Beach to Oceanside. The tour finished in Oceanside in the AA rated event where big points were up for grabs.

The boys went neck and neck again in the 08 - 09 season, but it was Teddy who got the node over Marceron in the last event of the year.

Teddy comments. ” I have been bridesmaid to Sean for the last three season now and to have finely won it I am over the moon. This the biggest accomplishment of my career so far. It really feels like a load off now that I have won the title.”

Teddy takes the SD title back to Huntington Beach and pocketed $10,000 bonus for his efforts.

When asked what he plans to do with his winning he said, ” My ticket is booked already,,,,,I plan to go to Bali in June and surf my brains out . Im going to enjoy every minute of it,,, Psyching”
