EXPERT REVIEW

The sole purpose of this device we are reviewing today is to let you surf the internet anywhere anytime. However, those want to chat (video/voice) or download stuff may not find this product very useful.

Now you may be wondering why should you go for this device when you can do all these things using a mobile phone or a laptop while on the move. Well, that's exactly what you're going to find out in this review of the Pocket Surfer 2 - the second iteration of its kind.

Bundle

* Pocket Surfer 2
* GPRS/EDGE enabled SIM Card
* USB Charger
* Velvet Pouch
* Software CD
* Manual

Concept

The Pocket Surfer 2 holds a record of loading any webpage under seven seconds and this "accomplishment" is played up so much that it finds mention in the specifications of the device.

The Pocket Surfer 2 connects to its own servers to provide the data to the device. These servers hold data as well as process data that are demanded by the device. The servers compress the data, shrinking the size and also breaking it down into smaller data packets, thus making it easier to send it to the Pocket Surfer. The GPRS or EDGE pipeline of the SIM network is then put to use.

Unlike conventional GPRS or EDGE, where the pipeline gets clogged and the data is transferred slowly to the device, the data flow to the Pocket Surfer is smoother, and hence the difference in speed. Its speed coupled with functionality and comfort.
