BIARRITZ (France)
The M.I.A.C.S. (International Art Market of Surfing Art), meeting point of international creativity and artistic diversity exclusively dedicated to surfing, is back in Biarritz from the 7th july 2009 with a new program.
Since 2007, the “Surf Art Festival” association has organized each summer, the most important surf art market. This unconventional and unique event has shown in 2008, 68 artists from all horizons (sculptors, painters, musicians and film-makers) over 300 art works and welcommed 10 000 visitors on 1000 square meters.
The 2009 edition presents 2 BIG EVENTS.
- From July the 7th to july the 17th 2009:
“International Art Market of Surfing Art”
A tribute to the american pioneer of surf art, the multi-talented artist John Severson (Hawaii).
A large part of the exibition is dedicated to his work, the other other part present about thirty other international artists previously selected.
Please note that all the art works are for sell !
- July 21th to 28th August 2009:
“SurfingMemory”
(an International Memory of Surfing Art)
NEW : Surf culture, arts from today and yesterday, all have a “rendez-vous” with this amazing and extravagant exibition.
It will presents more than 1 000 objets, documents and very diverses art works from one of the most important private collection.
All this items are not for sell !
The M.I.A.C.S. IS THE ONE ORIGINAL, UNUSUAL AND ESSENTIAL EVENT NOT TO MISS THIS SUMMER.
