Surf Beach 80
The wave of hits for The Beach Boys carries into the 21st century as their latest release, "Sounds of Summer: The Very Best of The Beach Boys," on Capitol Records, debuts on the Billboard charts at 16, selling over 68,800 albums for the week of June 10, according to Soundscan. "The Sounds of Summer" offers 30 of the The Beach Boys biggest hits like "California Girls", "Surfin' USA" and "Good Vibrations" on one CD for the very first time. "The Sounds of Summer" received a "five-star" review in Rolling Stone, and "Like the Beatles' '1' and Elvis Presley's 'Elvis: 30 No. 1 Hits,' 'Summer' packs a trove of essentials into one disc," says the Kansas City Star.
