Dear Lord, can you believe the damage that one little Basque surfer Aritz Aranburu did at the Billabong Pro in Tahiti this year? We know he can pigdog having grown up not far from Mundaka but his performance over there was pretty ridiculous. Watch his heat against Kelly on the Billabong Pro website. On his road to the semi’s he beat Dane, Kelly, Damo Hobgood and Tommy Whits. Aritz rode Chilli Surfboards on his way to his best ever World Tour result. Chilli would like to say Felicitaciones y gracias a Aritz y Pukas! Buena Suerte for the rest of 2009:)

Did you here the news? Andy Irons has a wildcard into the Billabong Pro in Tahiti. Can’t wait to see how a brother goes. Chilli’s gonna be sending a couple of boards over for the man to try out. We’ve been feeling like there hasn’t been enough of AI on the site so we dug up this hot little piece he did for Fuel TV’s Daily Habit. Look closely at the board he pulls out of the racks.
