Demo Overviews
All six demos described below will showcase Surf's media processing voice and video engine comprised of Surf's DSP resource boards and comprehensive media processing software capabilities:
* In the Motorola booth (#27031), as part of the Embedded Communications Computing exhibit, two different demonstrations will showcase Surf’s capabilities: one is based on a Motorola ATCA® communications server and the other on a Motorola MicroTCA wireless broadband access proof of concept, both used with the voice and video engine provided on Surf’s AMC DSP resource board.
* In the SBS Technologies booth (#18051), Surf’s AMC DSP resource board with embedded voice and video media processing capabilities is coupled with an SBS Telum™ 624-TEJ with I-TDM & 628 E1/T1 AMC using a MicroTCA Gigabit Ethernet backplane to demonstrate the industry’s first end-to-end AMC-based I-TDM solution for converged networks.
* In the Artesyn Technologies, now a part of Emerson Network Power, booth (#10043) Surf’s AMC DSP resource board powers two separate voice and video conferencing applications that demonstrate the flexibility and upgradeability of Surf’s media processing engine in the Artesyn environment. The first runs on Artesyn’s Katana®4000, a single slot AdvancedTCA carrier which can accommodate up to four AdvancedMC modules. The second runs on Artesyn’s MicroTCA chassis, utilizing Artesyn’s KosaiPM AMC as the host controller for Surf’s AMC DSP resource board.
* In the Kontron booth (#13051), Surf’s AMC DSP resource board and media processing engine transform Kontron’s AT8400 ATCA carrier into a single-blade, high-capacity voice gateway.
