Industry’s First End-to-End AMC-based I-TDM Solution Demonstrated in SBS Booth
Surf has partnered with SBS Technologies® (NASDAQ: SBSE) to provide the industry’s first end-to-end AMC-based I-TDM solution for building next-generation convergent (voice, video, data) media gateways. A converged audio/video conference will be demonstrated in the SBS booth (#18051). This conference will show two analog audio streams delivered through the T1 ports on the SBS Telum 624 T1/E1 AMC and converted to I-TDM streams over a MicroTCA Gigabit Ethernet backplane. The video conference uses an SBS ASLP10 processor AMC with 1GByte memory as the video server host using an Ethernet interface to transfer the video RTP streams through a switch to the SurfRider/AMC resource board located on the backplane. All audio and video processing for the converged conference is performed on the SurfRider/AMC, using a single DSP for processing multiple calls.
