East Coast
There isn't too much in store for the East Coast this weekend. That complex area of low pressure will push further NE over the next 48 hours. This will lead to coninuing offshore flow and mainly flat surf for the NE states, while the Mid Atlantic southward into FL pull some steep N wind bump.
West Coast
Same old story over the West Coast. Upper trough remains over the area and coastal waters. Another intense Gulf storm will be dropping southward over the weekend bring more rain and poor conditions along with variable amounts of wind/groundswell. Southern CA looks like it will see the most favorable conditions through the weekend. SAT, WNW SWELL HOLDS 3-5FT WITH SETS TO 6FT.
Hawaii
A few surface and upper air elements are coming together with moist southerly flow and topography right now producing extremely heavy rainfall and flooding problems. Things look to return to normal over the weekend. As for surf, north facing shores are looking uneventful with no major groundswell expected. Northeast facing shores see a continuing mix of trade and NE windswells with High Surf Advisories probably through Saturday sometime. Down south might be the call this weekend. Another modest, but fun, pulse of southern hemi swell shows with E trades in control over the weekend E 10-20kt.
