Surf Notes: The south and west shores will find another rise in surf Wednesday into Thursday. The north shores will find very small wind swell wrap breaking Wednesday and Thursday…locally flat. The east shores will have trade wind swell, dropping a touch through Thursday…along with the trade winds.

The south shores will find an even larger swell train of waves arriving Wednesday into Thursday. This swell will gradually lower later Thursday into Friday…with the next swell in line arriving this coming weekend. Next week will continue this long run of higher than normal south swell activity.

The west shores will find more or less the same timing as the south shores above, breaking best where the west sides are open to the incoming south swells.

The north shores will find just small late spring wind swell wrapping over from the east facing shores…although going locally flat on those days with lighter trade winds blowing, like Wednesday into Thursday.

The east shores will find wind swell surf breaking along these east facing shores through the next couple of days…taking somewhat of a break Wednesday and Thursday, and then rising again Friday onwards through the rest of this week into next week.

Marine Warnings and Advisories: Active watches and warnings

Note: Wave face readings are approximately twice the surf forecast numbers indicated above~~~

I want to thank all of the Hawaii Weather Today surf reporting team for all those years of reporting on the TV weather show…which is now finished: Ole Olson on Kauai; Kaleo Ohina, Ian Masterson and Kyle Stanford on Oahu; Steven Mark, Mike Napier, Ken Potts and Ron Busby on Maui…and finally David Hume on the Big Island. Thanks to Mr. Pat Caldwell on Oahu for his continuing surf forecast skills.
