Surf Forecast 96

...Still some Night and Morning Low Clouds and Local Drizzle Will Conintue....

The Low Clouds and Fog cleared by mid day in most areas today. Temperatures conitnue near or above normal near the coast and below normal inland. High temperatures ranged from the middle 60s to lower 70s near the coast to the 70s to near 80 degrees well inland. High temperatures at the Pinnacles reached 78 degrees with the high temperature at Bradley reaching 80 degrees.

Another weak Pacific Weather System will be approaching the California Coast on Thursday. This system will move over the Central Coast on Friday and deepen the upper Trough over the area. This will deepen the marine layer and then as it move inland on Saturday mix it out again. So there will be little change in the weather pattern through the weekend.

Overnight low temperatures continue in the middle and upper 50s and are mild for this time of year. Because we have not had a typical June weather pattern, Coastal Water Temperatures have been on the rise for the past week and are now near 60 degrees in the Monterey Bay when they should be in the middle 50s.

The weak trough over California will begin to weaken and move east on Tuesday and Wednesday next week and this will set things in motion to get back to a more normal June weather pattern. That means that by the middle of next week temperatures will increase inland and be a little cooler along the coast with more coastal low clouds.

The extendid outlook for June 16th to June 24th calls for Precipitation to be near normal (which is little or none for this time of year) and temperatures to be near normal.
