surf travel 118

Coolangatta on the Gold Coast of Queensland is home to the infamous Superbank. This pointbreak can produce a long righthander, amongst some surfers regarded as the best wave in the world.

I spent the easter fighting the crowds and the current. The current was as strong as a river, and the drift from Snapper Rocks to Kirra took no time.

Noosa on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland is the longboarders paradise. The pointbreak at Tea Tree beach gave a long and mellow righthander. Really fun to surf on a longboard.

We spent a week in Noosa surfing the mellow waves, and looking through the fancy shops. Heaps of soul.
