Marijuana Policy Project (MPP) is working hard to end marijuana prohibition and stop the DEA raids on medical marijuana providers and patients in states that have medical marijuana laws. Unfortunately hemp production is illegal in the US because of its relationship to the m-plant and this group is working to change the image of marijuana and hopefully give it some breathing room.
MPP’s largest annual fundraiser, a party at the Playboy Mansion, will take place on Thursday, June 4, 2009. MPP is currently seeking sponsors for the event. These are our two main sponsorship levels:
$10,000
Includes 4 tickets to party, name on banner and printed materials, recognition from stage and website, promotional item in goodie bag, VIP table reserved close to the stage, and exclusive invitation to event at Adrianne Curry’s home (or the home of another VIP)
$5,000
Includes 2 tickets to the party, name on the banner and printed materials, name on website, promotional item in goodie bag, and a general mention from the stage.
Wave Tribe will not be at this event but it sure looks fun.

“The Women and the Waves”
Documenting the female surfing experience.
A Graciegirl / Swell Pictures Production
By Heather Hudson and Peck Euwer
“The Women and the Waves” is an independent documentary surf film that explores the lives of female surfers who, through the decades, have chosen to paddle head first into the male dominated sport of surfing and found a place of their own. Surfer girls, women who surf, women who don’t, female athletes, and the men who love them gain insight into what it’s like to “Surf like a Girl!” This inspiring film, featuring generations of women surfers, reveals what has transcended surfing’s status as a sport to become a passion so strong, it is the dominant force in their lives.
