About Us
We think the timing for Last Wave Originals couldn't be better. After years of minimal innovation--when surfboard design appeared to be lacking in imagination--surfing is in the midst of a renaissance. New materials and manufacturing methods are being introduced, and it is refreshing to see a mix of old and the new out in the water. Traditional longboards and modern longboards are being ridden right next to retro fish, funboards and modern shortboards. Nothing seems conventional right now, which is great for the sport. And it seems appropriate during this "almost anything goes" time that we pay respect to those who were so instrumental in transforming surfing, so we can all enjoy its exhilaration and be a part of the lifestyle.
It is our intent to have long-term relationships and not just one-time customers. Because we wanted to do this business right, it has been years in development. We both have a lot of experience working for other companies and have learned what does and doesn't work for their customers. We believe in quality, value, service and unique products and hope you find all of these things at Last Wave Originals. We sincerely appreciate your business.
We feel truly blessed to live where we do. It is our firm belief that God created waves for us to enjoy. As part of that belief we feel we should be good stewards and take care of the planet and those less fortunate than ourselves. That is why we support organizations like SurfAid International and Surfrider Foundation.
Currently in the works is our own program to give directly to organizations such as SurfAid that help underprivileged locals who live near the world's surf meccas. We'll have more on that soon.
Follow the links to our "bios" so you can learn a bit more about the two of us and our passion for the sport of surfing.
Aloha,
