surf schools 3

Volunteer in a Caribbean Surf School with i-to-i

i-to-i, the Meaningful travel specialists, are offering adventurers and beach lovers alike a unique opportunity to spend the summer surfing the waves by volunteering at a surf school in the Dominican Republic.

Located close to Caberete on the north coast of this idyllic Caribbean Island, all who take part will be integrated into the Caribbean way of life in an extremely welcoming and rewarding environment.

Anyone with a passion for blue seas and white sandy beaches, will not only get the chance to develop and improve their surfing skills, but also learn all there is to know about the surf business in one of the world’s premier destinations.

Volunteers on this i-to-i placement will be given the rare opportunity not only to learn to surf to a high standard, but also how to instruct others. They will experience the behind the scenes elements of running a successful surf school from organising lessons and working in the shop through to actually building the boards.

Jennifer Hield, i-to-i Desk Officer comments “This is a real one off opportunity for anyone interested in surfing and tourism. What better way to gain valuable industry experience than on a beach in the Caribbean!”

The project is a four week minimum placement and costs £795. Food, accommodation, orientation and airport pick-up are included. To learn more about this project or to look at the other projects available through i-to-i, please call 0870 333 2332 or visit our website www.i-to-i.com.
