) GoDaddy review: Why pay more when you can pay even more?
Godaddy domain names disclosed

The omnipresent and almost harassing ads telling how cheap are the domain names at Godaddy incited me to make a deeper review on this domain name registrar.

For the start, I made a simple arithmetic calculation to see how cheap are the Godaddy domain names, hosting and additional services. I would recommend you to make yourself this calculation because I found that GoDaddy is not as cheap as they want to seem. In the future, for the most Godaddy services you'll pay more than at the greater part of the domain name sellers. And, with their very aggressive and not always honest ads, if you don't have enough experience, you practically are forced to buy other useless services.

One of the intensively marketed yet ineffective Godady services is Traffic Blazer which is a useless and even harmful paid service for submission to search engines. I tried without success and I still would be glad to find a website owner who received at least one visit to his site by paying for Traffic Blazer. You must know that today there is no need to submit your website to search engines. If your site deserves to be included in a search engine, then the search engine will surely find your site without Traffic Blazer. Google even suspended the website submissions to its search engine, due to the useless and due to these kinds of abuses. Ok. Useless! But why harmful? Because instead of visitors to your website you'll receive tons of spam. In other words, GoDaddy sells you the right to receive spam! The Godaddy antispam policy should be understood as follows: it is very, very bad to send spam but there is nothing wrong in receiving spam from GoDaddy's partners or even from GoDaddy (directly or indirectly).

Another bad point are their very tricky terms and conditions: I don't know if GoDaddy's terms and condition are the trickiest in the domain names and web hosting world, but I know that they are tricky and GoDaddy knows that reviewing and understanding the Terms and Conditions is a hard job for almost everyone. And from here, a lot of abuses can start. For short, you can easily loose your domain name any time they want. In fact, there are situations when even though you pay for the domain name, you are not the owner but GoDaddy.

Sorry for being in such a hurry today, however I think that even the problem's object (domain names, hosting and related scams) is serious, the subject (GoDaddy) does not deserve too much words anymore. However, these are some of the other most frequently complaints found on other Godaddy reviews and on forums, regarding Godady domain names, hosting and services:

- Poor hosting services, interrupted downloads, overloaded servers.
- The lack of the options for the shared hosting accounts. Even though, for marketing, there are some options in their offer, many of them are (almost) useless due to other constrains not displayed on their site.
- Poor support provided by self-called 'customer care specialists!!!'. Should be read as 'customer cheating specialists'. Frequently their support answers are of no use, just a waste of time.
