Surf Expo Offers Free Trade Show Training in California And Florida

dmg world media, the parent company of Surf Expo, is excited to announce an inaugural program of pre-show meetings designed to maximize an exhibitors’ return on investment and emphasize the cost-savings programs Surf Expo offers. These training seminars are free and are open to any previous, current, or potential Surf Expo exhibitor. The training days will be held April 28 in southern California and in Orlando, Florida on May 5.

“Our exhibitors made the decision to invest in Surf Expo – or are considering it – and we want to invest in them,” explains Roy Turner, show director. “To help ensure the success of our January 2009 show, we doubled our budget for travel assistance to help more retailers come to the show. We plan to do that again for the August show. This provides a direct benefit for retailers and the exhibitors.”

“We believe exhibitor training will have similar results,” continues Turner. “Through this program, exhibitors should be able to reduce expenses while improving their boothmanship skills, which will create a better trade-show experience for our buyers.”

Offered nearly four months before the August show, manufacturers will learn tips and techniques to increase their brand’s performance at Surf Expo, as well as ways to reduce show costs.

The training will be led by nationally known speaker, Candace Adams. Named one of the trade show industry's 25 most influential women, Adams has been an exhibitor trainer and a contributing writer for Exhibitor Magazine and Tradeshow Week for more than 14 years. Representatives from the show decorator and the Orange County Convention Center will also be on hand to offer their insights in how to reduce trade show expenses.

Because Surf Expo’s exhibitor base is divided between the East Coast and West Coast, training is being offered in both Florida and California.

The west coast training will be held Tuesday, April 28 at the Oakley headquarters in Foothill Ranch.

The Orlando training day will be Tuesday, May 5, at the Westin Imagine Hotel on Universal Blvd (directly in front of the Orange County Convention Center North Hall).

And while the training day is free, pre-registration is required as space is limited.
