Free Surf 57

Betty Belts.

We have a connection and responsibility to the ocean, the earth and humanity. We apply these values to all aspects of our lives, because we do create a positive effect when we make the right choices. The way we operate, as an organization and as individuals, really does matter. We hope that every little thing we do helps to sustain a healthy world.

Owner/Designer and passionate surfer Donna von Hoesslin takes her inspiration from her love of the ocean and the beach lifestyle, combined with the influence of 17 years of living in Europe.

She believes in giving back where she can and does so by supporting many causes, among which are environmental fundraisers, at-risk youth, women's surfing (through athlete and event sponsorship), 1% For The Planet Membership, Coop America, and support for the mostly female artisans in Bali who make the products and much more.

Donna lives in the beach community of Ventura, on the Gold Coast of California, where she is truly living the dream we all have. She is one of those lucky few who have found a way to turn their passion into a viable and very fun business with a deeper meaning than pure profitability.

A note from Donna:

Dear customers,

Donna von Hoesslin - Betty Belts Thank you for choosing Betty Belts! Thank you for your stoke and loyalty to my little company, without which Betty Belts would not be happening.

I'm always happy to hear from you about your great experiences with Betty Belts and Betty B., whether it be the compliments you receive when wearing a design or the satisfaction you feel finding the perfect unique gift for your friends, moms and daughters, nieces. It has been such a pleasant surprise to discover that my designs appeal to a wide range of women of all ages. How cool is it to see a mom be inspired by something her daughter is wearing! Or a grandmother by her granddaughter!

Thank you so much for your loyalty and stoke!

Where is it going?

Donna von Hoesslin - Betty Belts I've always believed in the value of practicing social and environmental responsibility since I started my business in 2003. This is nothing new to me. My goal is to continue down this road using sustainable, reused, recycled, organic and natural materials whenever possible. I am focused on reducing waste to a bare minimum. I consider the impact in every choice I make for my business and my home and always look the most sustainable method, even if it takes a lot more time and effort to find a feasible solution. Efforts like these are the foundational building blocks of hope for a better world. A cleaner, simpler and less wasteful world which we can all work toward step by step.

Thank you for reading this. I hope to inspire other girls and women to go their own direction and make their work as fun and fulfilling as mine is for me.

Thank you for visiting my website, please spread the aloha!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and REINVENT!
