I was at the HASA State Championship surf meet today at Bowls to watch our groms compete. They had mentioned that they watched the "Rising Son" video lastnight which is the documentary on Christian Hosoi . The groms had met Holmes earlier this year and had no idea of his rise and fall and rise again. Having met him first and then watching the video gave them a new perspective on Christian Hosoi. I found this pic in my archive. This is Holmes @ Cholos for a very historic contest that took place a couple of years ago. Christian still inspires anyone who has the opportunity to witness his skateboarding just as he did back in the day.
