Created by Ed Hoogenkamp (author of Dutch monthly BRIDGE), Peter van der Linden (ex-editor of BRIDGE and the Daily Bridge Calendar) and Pien Steringa (former DTP responsible of BRIDGE) Bridgevaria.com is intended not as anews site but a 'do'-site as well as a 'read'-site. One of the ambitions of the creators is to post new content daily. And it's all free!

The 1st World Youth Bridge Championships will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, from 15 to 23 August 2009 and will be hosted at the Yeditepe University. Young players from all member countries of the World Bridge Federation are invited to participate in this new competition which is designed to be a massive event. Click here for more
USBF to hold Pairs Trials on BBO for World Youth Championship in Turkey. The USBF has scheduled a 3-session Pairs Trials to select 6 pairs to represent the US in the first World Youth Championship in a subsidized trip to Turkey August 15-23. Read more here

Is BridgeGuys.com turning into a Rummy Only website? After receiving a suspicious email from someone claiming to by 'Raymond' and asking that I change all links for bridgeguys.com to a rummy website, I followed up with an email directly to bridgeguys.com webmaster Raymond who replied "We are in the process of restructuring the entire site, changing servers, learning a new web design application - " Raymond confirms they are definitely NOT becoming a Rummy website. Very clever spam/fraud scheme - best to always be on guard.
