Internet Search
1. World Wide Web
The links below can be used to search directly on the best Internet search engines.

* Some of the search engines (e.g. Infoseek, Excite, Yahoo) also have organised directories of sites. Where this is the case, clicking on the logo, will jump directly to their sections on derivatives.

* Canned Search: this produces a search with the selected search engine on the term derivatives, but uses the engines' respective search languages to refine the search and filter out some of the unwanted references (e.g. to molecular derivatives).

2. Newsgroups
The links below can be used to search directly on messages sent to Usenet Newsgroups.

* Unlike the WWW search engines above, there is likely to be far greater uniformity of search results here, so in most cases a search using just DejaNews would be sufficient.

* In the case of DejaNews below, the keyword search box has by default a search filter (~g misc.invest* &). This limits any search to just looking at the misc.invest newsgroup heirarchy. To search on a word, simply add the word to the end of the filter string. If you want to search on all newsgroups, delete the filter string.

* Canned Search: this produces an automatic search on the keywords, derivatives, futures, options, swaps. (In the case of the DejaNews search, this is limited to just the misc.invest heirarchy.
