Longboard Surf Competition Lahinch Co.Clare Ireland

Longboard Surf Competition Lahinchn Co.Clare Ireland - West Coast Surf Club hots 3rd Year of Longboarding

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 3 October, 2006 : - - Speaking of Irelands only Longboard Competition on behalf of the West Coast Surf Club, Cliodha Fawl said Conditions prevailed in Lahinch, Co. Clare Ireland this weekend as the West Coast Surf Club hosted its 3rd year of Longboarding and BIC Sports Beginners Classic. Waves were 2 foot with a light offshore breeze and the sun was shining.

With over 60 surfers participating, standards of longboarding has really improved over the year and there was a great performance given by all surfers. The Beginners competition showed that the beginners have a lot to offer other competitions and should keep the good work up.

Again on behalf of myself, the West Coast Surf Club, Cliodhna, Alan Black, Seamus Garry and Dave Collins, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors: Brian Nevin and Erdinger (for all the help and support and for a fantastic judging wagon); BIC Sports; Lynch Hotels; O'Looneys (for all the help and great food); Flanagans Bar (the host venue of the weekend); Shamrock Hotel; Atlantic Hotel; Cornerstone Bar; Kennys Pub; Lahinch Hostel; Enzos Fast Foods; Joes Pizza; S-Core; Billabong; Ballygowan; Lahinch Surf School; and Lahinch Surf Shop.

And congratulations again to all those involved.
