Desi Gallegos is the Senior Beauty Editor at Seventeen, which means he writes, edits, and plans all of the pages in the magazine about makeup, hair, and skin. He's currently obsessed with plaid ties, Sperry Top-Siders (he just got a new white pair for his birthday!), APC jeans, and Gossip Girl. His free time at work is evenly divided between (almost) obsessively refreshing people.com and perezhilton.com, searching for a replacement for his favorite moisturizer from Clinique, which was recently discontinued, and striking up passionate debates about American Idol. He eats Mexican food a minimum of four nights a week and was recently turned on to his new passion in life, queso fundido, by Seventeen's Beauty Director, Yesenia Almonte. Before joining Seventeen he worked in the beauty department at Teen People. He started his career as an intern at Men's Health and Chicago magazines after graduating with a degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
