Surf Lessons 27

Bolinas is located at the southern end of the Point Reyes National Seashore, surrounded by ocean and unspoiled parkland.

Because of Bolinas' unique coastal position, the surf is protected from the winds and huge swells that make other beaches in Northern California too dangerous for beginners.

Many of the surfers in Bolinas are beginners so everyone is accepting and helpful.

In recent years, Bolinas has been discovered as one of the very best surf spots for beginners and intermediate surfers. Many beach goers and new town residents are surfers and Bolinas is starting to have a surf town feel.

However, we are a small close-knit community. Please be respectful of the town residents and pack your trash when you leave the beach!
