Welcome to Surfguys Surf School.
We are where future surfing legends start, or where you will have the experience of a lifetime. We are available 365 days a year, weather and surf permitting. We teach boys and girls, men and women from ages 5 to 67 years of age. Let us be your surf school of choice while visiting in Florida. Our surfing lesson/instruction, classes/camps are held in both Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral, and Indialantic/Melbourne Beach Florida area for your convenience. Fun, thrill, excitement, and a healthy sport is what surfing can bring to you. Lesson times and locations vary due to tide and wave conditions.
A Florida surfing lesson tradition, we have been at this for a long time in Florida since 1997, 5+ years before all the other surf schools arrived. The Surfguy is a surf lesson professor, and has over 30+ years of surf, surf industry experience; in sales, design, expert board repair, board construction, surf education, and coaching. Our professional staff has over 100+ years of combined surfing experience, and are ready to help and serve your surfing instructional needs. Our Florida location is situated in the state’s surfing capital along the Atlantic Ocean. Our relatively warm climate allows us to teach most of the year without wetsuits, but if needed we do supply one for your comfort. We supply all necessary equipment for all lessons and camps.
Our Costa Rica location is in the central Nicoya Peninsula where the waters are warm all year long, and no wetsuit is needed. Our staff members are not just surfers, but highly trained instructors and are very passionate about our sport. Your experience and success is guaranteed! Our Costa Rica Surf Vacations features a unique approach to surfing. We do not only offer our expertise in world class surf instruction, but we offer lessons and surfing tours with professional longboarder Mikey DeTemple and East Coast Hall of Fame surfer Claude Codgen where you can experience surfing from 2 different eras, the styles of 1960’s and 2000’s.
