After ordering my Surf One "Classic" longboard nearly 3-weeks ago from Skates on Haight; and after some issues with their website and some misunderstanding/customer service issues; clarifications were made; upgrades were given; my spectacularly, gloriously, most beautiful longboard in the whole World HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!!! Do I sound excited about this? Gosh, I hope so!
I've only rode it through my apt a couple times; the chilly temps and wind today don't have me too excited to go out and ride; heck, I'm not even looking forward to my run this afternoon; which is weird, because when I can get OUTSIDE and run, I'm all about it.
Wanna have a gander at my board?
SPECS:
+ 7-ply hard rock maple deck (custom-pressed in Santa Barbara, CA @ Surf One)
+ Surf One's own clear grip shows off its top and bottom wood grain
+ Surf One's & Skates on Haight's #1 board year in and year out: cleanest smoothest longboard on the market

+ Wheels: 70mm SECTOR-9 Race Formula
+ Trucks: 183mm INVADER Raw
+ Shape: 89

I won't tell you how much I paid for this custom board because you'll want to punch me in the face for practically stealing it. I will say that I definitely used my superpower: networking.
In about 20-years I'll be this good:
... until then, I'll just be commuting and bombing hills :P
