Ron Jon Surf Shop® Grand Opening at Tampa International Airport
Sales proceeds benefit Hillsborough Education Foundation
Tampa, FL, April 25, 2005: Tampa-based airport retailer Stellar Partners, Inc. celebrated the Grand
Opening of Ron Jon Surf Shop at Tampa International Airport on April 21, 2005. Sales proceeds in the
amount of $5,000 have been donated to support the Hillsborough Education Foundation.
“The Ron Jon concept has been incredibly successful for us, and we are thrilled to bring this brand
to Tampa,” said President Susan Stackhouse, adding that Stellar Partners is proud of its Tampa roots.
“Stellar was founded in Tampa and we have a long, successful partnership with the airport. The mission
and values of the Hillsborough Education Foundation are so important to local business owners, and we
are pleased to extend our community ties to this organization.”
The donation was presented to the Foundation after a ceremonial ribbon cutting at the store. The
Grand Opening event was attended by executives from Ron Jon Surf Shop, Bank of Tampa, Greater
Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, Bank of America, and
Hillsborough Education Foundation.
“The Education Foundation is thrilled to have a new supporter that values public education the way
Stellar Partners does,” said Foundation President, Bill Hoffman. “Members of their executive team have
already become involved by volunteering in the schools and on our board. It is outstanding that Stellar
Partners is supporting us in such a generous way.”
Ron Jon Surf Shop airport locations are operated by Stellar Partners through a license agreement.
Each store offers a wide variety of branded apparel, accessories, home décor, and of course,
surfboards.
