So you have to spend at least the first night here in these dreadful conditions. I find important that after a long flight, checking in, making flight connections, running through airports, going through customs etc, you get a good comfortable first night sleep the day you arrive.

Next morning, after a very uncomfortable first night, you grab again your luggage and surfboards to look for another place to stay. Walking for ages under the scorching sun or heavy rain... You might find somewhere that looks alright, but will need to change again after a couple of nights for whatever reason. Maybe there are bed bugs (very common in cheap exotic accommodations), maybe the food is bad, or even harmful ! In cheap places, its very easy to get sick on food. If you get sick, your holidays are ruined ! It is bad to be sick, but to be sick while you're away is really bad ! Packing your bags again and again, here you are trying to find the right place ... till the end of your precious holidays !Cheap often is expensive !
