The trips we offer are custom made vacations, all year round, for all ages, sex, levels and budgets, although a lot of our clients are older than 20 and total beginners that come to Surfcamps. For the experienced and independent surfer we also have Surfaris, Boat Trips and Guided Tours with locals to the best surf spots. Hassle free trips, without language problems, public transports, surfboard transportation, etc. It is all organised, from your arrival to the airport to your stat in comfortable and clean accommodation, good meals, transport to the beaches, use of surf material, etc.

Apart from surfing we offer all kinds of trips related to boardriding and other extreme sports. And we also offer different kinds of accommodation; Apartments, hotels, etc.
We also organize summer camps for teenagers with different activities and language courses. These summer camps are run by reliable professionals. The minors are supervised 24 hours a day. The camps are not boarding schools. Its all about having fun and living a healthy sports life, but always under the responsible team work of instructors.

Sometimes you arrive to a country you have never been before and when leaving the arrivals terminal at the airport, you are literally assaulted by 50 persons yelling at you in an unknown language, harassing you to you get a taxi or take you to a hostel, etc, etc. These situations are chaotic... especially if you still have to change money ! You are very tired but need to stay smart and awake... After some intense and stressful moments, you eventually get money from the ATM and jump into a taxi. All you know is the name of the surf place you want to go to, and think that when you get there you will find a cheap place to stay just walking around. The problem is that this taxi driver rips you off and charges twice as much as you should pay. Not only this, but he takes you to a hostel of his family or where he gets commissioned. You don't like the place too much, it smells, dirty sheets, dirty floor, dirty bathroom, etc, but it is too late at night to change and all reception desks at nearby hostels are closed. So you have to spend at least the first night here in these dreadful conditions.

I find important that after a long flight, checking in, making flight connections, running through airports, going through customs etc, you get a good comfortable first night sleep the day you arrive.

Next morning, after a very uncomfortable first night, you grab again your luggage and surfboards to look for another place to stay. Walking for ages under the scorching sun or heavy rain... You might find somewhere that looks alright, but will need to change again after a couple of nights for whatever reason. Maybe there are bed bugs (very common in cheap exotic accommodations), maybe the food is bad, or even harmful ! In cheap places, its very easy to get sick on food. If you get sick, your holidays are ruined ! It is bad to be sick, but to be sick while you're away is really bad ! Packing your bags again and again, here you are trying to find the right place ... till the end of your precious holidays !

SINCE 1995

Nomad Surfers started promoting snowboard camps in Les Diablerets, Switzerland, back in 1995. The office moved later to Carrapateira (Algarve, South Portugal) for eight years - the best surfing residence in Europe (in our opinion... after lots of traveling).

Today, after many trips and adventures across the planet, Nomadsurfers is a well established and experienced company. We offer many more destinations than any other surf travel agency on the planet. Nomad Surfers headquarters are now based on the island of Ibiza, where the bookings take place. But our staff is constantly traveling around the world to different destinations. Because we like to know what we are talking about when we are recommending a surf trip.
