Flexibility and Upgradeability Accommodate High-Density Multimedia Server Applications in Artesyn Booth
The demonstration platform in the Artesyn booth (#10043) combines the flexibility of Artesyn’s Katana®4000 AdvancedTCA blade with the media processing power of Surf's SurfRider/AMC DSP resource board. The KAT4000 is a single slot ATCA carrier which can accommodate up to four AMC modules, such as SurfRider/AMC boards, providing up to 32 Texas Instruments TM320C64x™ DSPs on a single AdvancedTCA blade. In this demo, a video portal application is demonstrated, which enables connection between wireless and wireline devices located on different IP networks. Components of the demonstration include conferencing between multiple participants, streaming and recording of video files, and playback of recorded messages for video mail applications. This turnkey integrated platform is ideal for applications that need to deliver audio, video, fax and modem data over IP networks, such as media/content servers, as well as video mail and video messaging servers.
