Quiksilver Inc., Huntington Beach, Calif., has announced its new Quiksilver Boardriders Club in Anglet, France, which will become the largest surf shop in Europe upon its grand opening on June 15th. The 7,500 sq-ft. store was designed by architect Philippe Avenzi from Grenoble and incorporates surf-inspired

The store will not only include Quiksilver products and apparel but also an indoor skate park, D.J. booth, 12-ft. wave housing a cult collection of surf boards, DVD wall, a board shaper's workshop and the Cafe Ono restaurant. The June 15th grand opening celebration will include appearances by world champion surfers Kelly Slater and Lisa Anderson, live music, and indoor skateboarding. "The launch of the new retail concept in Anglet symbolizes another turning point in Quiksilver's worldwide development," said Quicksilver Europe president Pierre Agnes in a statement. "This experience allows us to express the fullness of our brands by offering new services in an exiting and unique setting."
