Somewhere near the North Pole in a town called Trysil Norway the Santa Claus of surfing has delivered perfect surf, a man made wave called the FlowRider® Single. At Latitude +61° 18' 24.48" N, Longitude +12° 14' 40.20" E, this is Wave Loch’s northern most FlowRider beating out Bo, Norway and Great Falls, Montana, by the slimmest of margins. Luckily for the Norwegians, this ride is indoors and installed at the Radisson SAS Resort, so you could be surfing all year round.
The FlowRider Single is one of Wave Loch’s most popular products. With 48 square meters of powerflow, this ride offers plenty of room for flowboarders to do carves, 360’s, kick flips and most anything you put your mind to. The Flygt submersible propeller pumps push 75,000 liters per minute up and over the shape of a faultless wave. The result is a perfect, perpetual surfing platform that enables athletes of all ages to experience the thrill of surfing. It is also the perfect complement to the riding that is happening outdoors.
Trysil is located approximately 200 km north of Oslo near the border with Sweden. It is Norways largest ski resort with 65 slopes and 32 lifts. So when you’re bored of snowboarding or have run out of light, grab your flowboard and get your flow on.
